Explained: 

Our extraction process is a global first, and captures the 4 Mānuka Triketones - Leptospermone, Isoleptospermone, Flavesone & Grandiflorone at high levels, which truly is an unprecedented feat. This results in our oil being a true representation of the Mānuka plant.

Triketones are the chemical compounds by which we measure Mānuka Oil's potency. Triketones are what's responsible for the antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and wound healing properties. The best essential oil in the New Zealand market currently comes from East Cape in Gisborne, and is known to have an average of 20% triketones, compared to our results which are 30 - 50% triketones. 

The reason we have the highest triketones in our Mānuka Oil is due to our method of extraction. We use Supercritical Fluid Extraction, which uses carbon dioxide with varying pressures, to extract the desired compounds from the leaf. This is a gentler approach and allows us to preserve the integrity of all molecules.
